UC Davis Diploma Cover Guide: Size, Fit and Custom Options

This guide is for a diploma issued by the University of California, Davis. If the page says UC San Diego, UCLA, or another UC campus, you are on the wrong article.

Confirm the Davis issuer

Look for the University of California, Davis on the document, then note the degree and the year. Davis is not a size variant of UC San Diego. The UC San Diego guide is only for a San Diego diploma, and a measurement from that campus should not be reused here.

Davis also grants professional degrees, including veterinary medicine, law, and other graduate programs. A professional diploma from Davis can be a different sheet from an undergraduate diploma issued the same year. Measure the document that will go in the cover, not a classmate's page from another college.

Ordering for a Davis program

If you are buying for a cohort, ask whether every recipient is receiving the same format. One finished sample from the undergraduate college and one from a professional school is the minimum check. When those two pages differ, place two orders.

Reprints deserve the same check. A replacement requested years later may not match the diploma that was handed out at commencement.

Sizing lives on one page

Professional and graduate programs are a different pile: veterinary medicine, law, medicine, management, nursing, and education among them. A vet-med diploma and a Letters and Science diploma can share a commencement weekend and still be different sheets.

Be careful with documents that are not the diploma. UC Davis Health is centered in Sacramento. A letter, a certificate, or a training record from the medical center is not the diploma issued in Davis. Measure the page you intend to put in the cover, and do not borrow the numbers from the UC San Diego guide.

What a Davis order should include

Write University of California, Davis in the notes, plus the school or college printed on the diploma and the year. Add the width and height of that page. If the order is for a program, label each size group with the program name so a later addition does not get dropped into the wrong batch.

Imprint a name, a degree, or a class year. Skip the seal. If the sheet is not a stock size, order made-to-fit and follow the measuring guide instead of rounding to a nearby product.

Questions that come up for UC Davis

I have the frame I bought in Davis. Is the opening the diploma size?

No. The opening is the visible area after a mat. The diploma is larger. Take the document out and measure the paper, edge to edge.

Can our cohort use one size if everyone is Class of the same year?

Not until you compare a finished diploma from each program in the cohort. Same year does not mean same sheet, especially when undergraduate and professional degrees are in one order.

Will Honor U confirm the size with UC Davis?
